Engineering Project Management
Communication is key
The main purpose of Project Management is communication. Whether it is a business development person, project manager, discipline leader, or technical person within our organization, the communication starts before a project is initiated to ensure everyone understands what will be provided, when, and what the economic impact will be. The communication continues throughout the project and may include periodic updates on what has been done, what will be done next, and how much time and money has been spent.
On Schedule and On Budget
Behind the scenes, Project Management works with the Project Coordinators to ensure we stay on schedule and on budget. Additionally, Project Management can facilitate discussion between groups - internal or external - including with SMC, our manufacturing facility, or other outside groups to ensure a successful project for our clients. Some additional activities from Project Management also include reviewing important documents (Master Service Agreements, NDA, and Confidentiality Agreements), schedules in Microsoft Project, and estimating. You can be sure you will be treated in an honest and respectful manner with open communication.
